Combined craft

Whatever crafts you enjoy / are skilled in can be combined together to provide an even greater range of creativity. In the picture above, I combined applique, machine embroidery, fabric painting and upholstery design to make a bespoke chair cover. The starting point of any project is to identify what you would like to achieve, for example a cushion, picture etc. Once you have this in mind, collect together all the resources for your project and decide when you are going to start it. If you don't feel confident enough to tackle your project find some support either through online channels, friends / family or us.

Adding embellishments to your project is usually the final stage and can make all the difference to the finished product. Embellishments include items such as: beads, buttons, lace, gems, ribbon etc. You can check the embellishments enhance your work (before fixing them) by laying them in place.
