Digital cutting
Digital Cutting explained
If you have ever had a die cut machine you will know how useful they are. However, digital cutting is the next level! There are different types around but I am only going to reference Cricut because that is where my experience lies and I am an affiliate for Cricut too. The Cricut Maker can cut over 300 different materials ranging from crepe paper to balsa wood - including fabric! You can already see how versatile it is! Check out Cricut's website for their video of the Maker in action: https://shrsl.com/34ivi
If you purchase from this link, Cricut will reward me for your visit at no extra cost to you :-)
Tools and accessories
Cricut machines come with some tools. The latest machines use matless technology because the smart materials are thick enough not to need placing on a mat. The older machines use mats that the materials stick to. The choice of mat depends on the material chosen - the mats are sticky so thicker materials require a stickier surface than paper for example. Cricut machines can cut, emboss, foil, engrave, score, perforate and draw! What's not to love?
Projects
The only limit is your imagination! You could create cards, pictures, jewellery, designs for clothing, decals for mugs and glasses, wooden signs, logos for businesses, patchwork templates, keyrings, 3d wooden animals, wall hangings, wall decals, display stands etc You can practically customise anything and everything you own 🤣
If you have a Cricut that is sat in the box and gathering dust, book some sessions with us and we will support you in getting to know your machine. We promise that you will be glad you did!
